Katherine Mansfield ( 1889 - 1923 ) was much influenced by the shorts stories of Chekhov, and she started writing stories at the age of 18. she wrote many stories like, 1) " Bliss and other story" 2) " The garden party and other story" 3) " Dove's nest and other story" 4)" Some time childish and other story" 5) " Collected stories".
In this story Rosemary is the protagonist. she belongs to the upper class society and that's why she always goes for shooing to parish. she unaware about the real condition of poor people or lower class. During shopping time she meets with little girl.Name of this beggar girl is Miss Smith. who asked some money for A cup of Tea. At that time she fells pity towards her and she take her to her house. Than she serves some food and Tea of that girl and takes care of that girl also. When Rosemary's husband Philip comes and sees that her wife helped that poor, beggar girl at that time he decided to talk with his wife, and his wife Rosemarry decided to adopt this girl.
